“Although our post today has little to do with weddings, brides, bridal style, lace, tulle or diamonds, it does have to do with something near and dear to my heart. On June 3rd, at my graduate school alma mater Indiana University, junior Lauren Spierer went out for a night at the bar with friends and never made it home. She was last seen at 4:30am on the corner of 11th Street and College Avenue near her apartment, and has been missing now for almost 20 days! I CANNOT imagine the heartache that Lauren’s family and friends must feel, and get almost numb when thinking that I made that same walk many times myself. Although I’m 3,000 miles away in California, I am trying to help bring Lauren home (and so can you)! In speaking with organizers of the search effort, there are things that each one of us can do at any level, from anywhere in the world. Here are 4 big ways you can help:
- By tweeting and spreading the word online about Lauren!
- If you live in and around the Indiana area (or know anyone that does) you can help organize volunteers in the search effort!
- Share information that you do know by calling the completely anonymous, completely free tip-line: 1.800.CRIME TV. There’s a $100,000 reward for any information that leads to finding Lauren!
